Miller Frame is now closed after serving Pittsburgh’s framing needs for 50 years.
The Wendi Miller Legacy Project seeks to archive, contextualize, and celebrate the life and work of an artist and LGBTQIA+ activist who ran a picture frame shop, Miller Frame, for 50 years in historic East Pittsburgh. She turned her shop into a safe and supportive space for herself and for transgender diaspora from around the rust-belt in the 1990s. She served on countless local boards and she helped pen the 1997 City of Pittsburgh ordinance that protected transgender rights to jobs and housing. Help keep her legacy alive by donating.
